Vitocell - cylinders for every need

Along with space heating, domestic hot water also contributes to the comfort of the home. There are various ways to provide warm or hot water. In addition to decentralised water heating with a momentary water heater or DHW cylinder, the entire building can be supplied with DHW via a central heating system. Subject to the availability of a hot water cylinder. For this purpose, Viessmann offers a wide range of products adapted to the individual needs of the user. This is due to the fact that in addition to the number of people living in the building and the corresponding consumption of DHW, numerous other factors also play a role, for example, the requirements for space or the possibility of heating DHW using a solar thermal system.

But in addition to hot water cylinders for washing dishes or showering, the Viessmann Vitocell product range also includes buffer cylinders. As the name suggests, a heating water buffer cylinder stores water that is not used during heating and is stored temporarily.

The Vitocell cylinder range includes the following models:

DHW cylinders

Hot water cylinders Viessmann Vitocell

The Viessmann DHW cylinders in the Vitocell series have an energy efficiency class of at least B as standard, and some models are even in energy efficiency classes A or A+. This is achieved, in particular, by thermal insulation of the hot water cylinders using an additional vacuum panel. In this way, heat loss is reduced even further, which also reduces energy costs.

Viessmann Vitocell cylinders can be distinguished according to various criteria. For example, in the case of hot water cylinders, there are 100 and 300 series. They differ mainly in materials that come into contact with hot water. For Vitocell 100-V, 100-W, 100-H and 100-L products, we use high-quality steel with Ceraprotect enamel coating. This means that the cylinder is particularly well protected against corrosion and therefore has a leading position in the market. The Vitocell 300-V and 300-H, on the other hand, uses stainless steel that meets the highest hygienic requirements. That is why the stainless steel cylinders of the Vitocell 300 series are backed by a 10-year warranty against leaks caused by corrosion.

Depending on the available space, Viessmann offers a choice between vertical and horizontal Vitocell models. The former include the Vitocell 300-V and 100-V. The Vitocell 100-W is ideal for wall-mounted appliances. The 300-H and 100-H models are horizontal cylinders, and a gas or oil condensing boiler can be installed on top.

Feature: Vitocell 100-L cylinder for DHW systems with cylinder loading system

Especially in large buildings such as hotels, schools or indoor swimming pools, it is advisable to use the Vitocell 100-L. This model works in combination with a cylinder loading system that combines storage and flow systems. This combination allows large amounts of water to be withdrawn in a short time, which means that short-term consumption peaks can be met.

Vitocell Dual Mode DHW Cylinders

In addition to the above-mentioned cylinders, Viessmann also offers dual-mode DHW cylinders. These are Vitocell models that provide DHW with two different heat sources. Two heat generators can be connected to them. In most cases, a solar thermal system is used together with a condensing boiler. To ensure efficient operation and as little heat loss as possible, the Vitocell 300-B, 100-B and 100-U are equipped with two large indirect heating coils. They provide even heating.

Heating water buffer cylinders

The Vitocell 140-E, 160-E, 120-E and 100-E models are buffer cylinders for water heating that temporarily store heat energy for later use. This heat can be used either for central heating or to heat the DHW with a fresh water module. The Vitocell 340-M and 360-M models also have a built-in DHW heating system. All models can be combined with several heat generators and can therefore be used flexibly to meet a wide range of requirements.
