Mechanical ventilation systems Viessmann Vitovent

Viessmann Vitovent provides rooms with clean air

High air quality means a high level of comfort. It also increases physical and mental performance. The air is perceived as fresh and pleasant if the concentration of carbon dioxide is below 0.1 percent by volume. If the air in the room is rich in oxygen, the quality of life increases. However, it is not only the oxygen content that determines the quality of the air. Odors and pollutants, as well as high humidity, have a negative effect. In old, insufficiently insulated buildings, there is a constant change of air through cracks and cracks in doors and windows. New building and insulation materials can no longer guarantee such natural air exchange. Solution: mechanical ventilation systems. The Vitovent product range for central and decentralized ventilation is ideally suited for this.

What distinguishes Viessmann Vitovent mechanical ventilation systems

Basically, all Viessmann ventilation systems combine innovative technology with durability and reliability. A particularly important feature of the Vitovent models is that they are particularly quiet. They ensure constant air exchange and remove pollutants and odors from the indoor air. The change of air depends on humidity. This is because about 15 liters of moisture enter the room air per day in a detached house. When the air can no longer hold this moisture, it condenses, which can contribute to the formation of mould. That is why Vitovent models are designed in such a way that air exchange only takes place depending on the outside air and weather conditions.

Ventilation with heat recovery and bypass function

All Vitovent systems use the heat of the exhaust air to heat the supply air. This process is called heat recovery and saves heat energy. This is possible thanks to the integrated heat exchanger. In turn, in the summer, it can be switched to bypass. The rooms can then be cooled with cooled night air. In Vitovent central ventilation systems, this is achieved using the bypass function. For this purpose, a bypass flap is built into each device. It directs fresh, cold outside air past the cross-flow heat exchanger. Thus, the heat exchange between the outside and supply air bypasses and is temporarily switched off.

The Vitovent 100-D and Vitovent 050-D models can also be used in new construction projects and retrofits of existing buildings. With four different levels, they are suitable for apartments. For example, the Vitovent 100-D can exchange up to 46 cubic meters of air in one hour when set to level 4. The Vitovent 050-D reaches 43 cubic meters per hour with the same installation. In addition, both models have a heat recovery rate of 90 percent and 91 percent, respectively.

Viessmann Vitovent

Vitovent - central ventilation for new buildings

Basically, central ventilation involves centrally installed equipment that supplies fresh air to all areas of the building through a duct system. Such systems are installed mainly in new buildings, as there is usually not enough space in existing buildings to install such a duct system.

Vitovent Air Distribution System (LVS)

The components of the Viessmann mechanical central ventilation system with the air distribution system are very well coordinated with each other and therefore operate particularly quietly. The distribution system consists of 19 individual components that can be flexibly combined with each other. Homeowners have the following options:

Decentralised ventilation with Viessmann Vitovent

As a result of large-scale modernization projects, existing buildings are becoming increasingly airtight, which means insufficient air exchange. This often leads to increased humidity and an equally high probability of mold - decentralized ventilation systems are the solution to the problem. They provide targeted fresh air supply to individual rooms. At the same time, they are easy to install. All that is required is a small hole in the wall or drilling in the external wall. A branched network of ventilation ducts becomes unnecessary. This makes Vitovent decentralized ventilation systems particularly suitable for multi-family buildings, as multiple units can operate independently of each other.
