Vitovent 200-C: Central, ceiling-mounted mechanical ventilation system for modernization
Vitovent 200-C is a compact and inexpensive mechanical ventilation unit for apartments in multi-apartment buildings, separate extensions and existing buildings.
The unit has a maximum air flow rate of 200 m3/h and is capable of comfortably ventilating residential premises up to 120 m2 .
Product Features
The Vitovent 200-C is installed at a height of just 30 centimeters. When fully wired, the unit easily disappears into a suspended ceiling. A hallway is an ideal location for installation. Compact supply and exhaust ducts, specially designed for this system, can be discreetly routed to rooms opening onto the hallway. A bathroom or kitchen cabinet is also a suitable alternative if the unit is installed using a vertical bracket. With a unit weight of just 18 kg and integrated mounting rails, the Vitovent 200-C is quick to install.
The Vitovent 200-C ventilation unit utilizes up to 95 percent of the latent heat in the exhaust air, warming the cold outside air using a cross-counterflow heat exchanger. This saves energy and reduces heating costs year-round.
The Vitovent 200-C is equipped with a built-in intelligent frost sensor, which prevents so much ice from forming on the heat exchanger that it stops functioning. To minimize energy consumption, the Vitovent 200-C continuously monitors ice formation on the heat exchanger and delays defrosting for as long as possible. This shortens the intervals between defrosts, especially in spring and fall, saving energy and money.
The standard equipment includes a bypass circuit for warmer months. This circuit allows fresh, cool intake air to bypass the heat exchanger and be directed directly into the cabin.
Even as the filter becomes increasingly dirty, adequate ventilation is ensured. To achieve this, the ventilation unit constantly regulates airflow to maintain a consistently high air volume. An automatic indicator shows when the filter needs to be replaced; this can be performed independently by system users.
Although this compact unit already operates very quietly, additional insulation measures may be necessary depending on the installation location. Suitable system accessories include a blind distributor for integration into the unit, as well as sound attenuators for the outside and exhaust air.
The Vitovent 200-C mechanical ventilation system also helps allergy sufferers breathe easier. A filtration system with an additional pollen filter removes allergens and harmful substances from the supply air, creating an irritant-free environment.
Easy to operate
Vitovent 200-C can be controlled in three different ways:
- Ventilation programming unit, type LB1 (convenient with graphic display)
- Step switch (simple, unobtrusive).
- Via the Vitotronic 200 (WO1C) heat pump control unit.
Built-in fault and maintenance alarm
For centralized operation control, each unit is equipped with a readable fault signal contact as standard.
