Wood chip boiler for agricultural applications and enterprises

Apartment buildings, businesses, agricultural facilities and local heating networks: large buildings can be heated very efficiently with wood chips. ETA eHACK is the optimal boiler for this. It has a heat output of 100 to 240 kW and can be powered by sawdust or pellets.

Perfect system

ETA eHACK has a sophisticated technology: the lambda sensor in combination with the ETA combustion control system ensures maximum efficiency even when using different fuel qualities. This combination ensures that the ideal amount of oxygen is always supplied for the appropriate fuel. The single-chamber rotary shut-off valve developed and patented by ETA is a guarantee of safe operation. It reliably prevents the spread of fire from the combustion chamber to the fuel depot. If some pieces of wood are too long, the ends are simply cut off.

Clean, economical, efficient

Even when transporting chips to the boiler, the ETA system works extremely economically, as the helical geared motor used for this requires much less electricity than a conventional screw conveyor. However, for ideal fuel utilization and low heating costs, it is also important that the interior of the boiler, i.e. the combustion chamber and heat exchanger, is regularly cleaned of dust and ash. The ETA ash removal system is fully automatic and can do much more than any other system on the market: it also removes dust from the flue gases.

Electrostatic dust collection

When using wood chips, the amount of dust in the flue gas can vary greatly depending on how dry the wood was and how much bark was processed. In order to comply with emission limits, which tend to become more and more stringent, an electrostatic precipitator is becoming increasingly important. It works by applying a charge to the dust particles present in the flue gas and ionizing them so that they stick to the inner wall of the filter instead of flying out of the chimney. Until now, this required a separate device with its own ash removal system. This is quite inconvenient, not least because you have to empty two ash boxes.

Space-saving: built-in dust collector

Now, for the first time, the electrostatic precipitator can be integrated into the eHack ETA. This is made possible by the completely new ETA ash removal system, in which the entire boiler, i.e. the combustion chamber, heat exchanger and ash collector, are cleaned fully automatically with a single drive. Even large foreign bodies in the ash, such as nails or stones, are not a problem for the robust segmented rotating grate and the powerful screw conveyor. A very large ash box rarely needs to be emptied. This is easy to do if necessary – even if the floor is uneven. This is thanks to a special guide plate on the bag drawer.

Heating control via touch screen, mobile phone and PC

The boiler itself has a 7-inch touch screen that can be used to intuitively control all components of the heating system, such as buffer cylinders or solar collectors. The heating system can be controlled free of charge via the Internet using the www.meinETA.at platform. The only prerequisite for this is the presence of a LAN socket with an Internet connection in the boiler room.
