Vitomax LW low-pressure hot water boilers with a capacity from 0.65 to 22.0 MW for commercial applications
Hydrogen up to 100 percent
In chemical production, such as chlorine production and other industrial processes, much of the hydrogen gas is wasted and released into the atmosphere. Vitomax boilers, which can operate on 100% hydrogen with the appropriate burner, offer a cost-effective and efficient solution. They also prevent significant amounts of climate-damaging CO2 emissions .
Product Features
Energy-efficient and clean heat supply, as well as high operational reliability and system availability, are key requirements for district heating systems in large buildings and industrial facilities. Vitomax LW are low-pressure hot water boilers for flow temperatures ⤠110°C and permissible operating pressures of 6, 10, or 16 bar.
The three-pass boiler features low combustion chamber loading, clean combustion, and low nitrogen oxide emissions. When operating on gas, nitrogen oxide emissions for Low NOx series boilers are less than 70 mg/NmÂŗÂ ; when operating on oil, they are less than 150 mg/NmÂŗÂ .
The low-load, compact design ensures good natural circulation and reliable heat transfer. As with the Vitomax HW, no additional boiler pumps are required, significantly simplifying the hydraulic connection. The optimal design of the heating surface and smoke tubes ensures a low pressure drop on the hot gas side.
All Vitomax LW low-pressure hot water boilers are suitable for combustion of up to 100% hydrogen, subject to our H2 framework conditions .
New district heating plants for industrial and commercial facilities often need to be ready for operation quickly to ensure scheduled heat supply. This is especially true during refurbishments or modernizations, when the system is being replaced during ongoing operation. In these cases, the system operator can rely on proven and reliable Viessmann technology.
In industrial/commercial boiler rooms, the Vitomax LW low-pressure hot water boiler offers a high level of planning and calculation reliability. Along with guaranteeing the highest quality and flexibility, all components are carefully matched, including pre-installed safety equipment for maximum temperatures of 110°C. Optional accessories include flue gas/water heat exchangers for use in non-condensing and condensing technology, increasing boiler efficiency to over 95.5 percent. Return temperature boosters, pressure maintenance systems, and flue gas components are also available.
Vitomax hot water boilers receive high marks for continuous operation due to their easy maintenance, thanks to a wear-resistant, water-cooled burner entry point and a refractory-free rear reversing chamber, available upon request. This eliminates the need for refractory lining drying, significantly reducing commissioning and maintenance time. The boiler’s supporting cover simplifies installation and maintenance, and protects the thermal insulation from damage.
