In addition to boilers for detached houses, the Vitocrossal product range also includes medium-sized boilers with higher wattages. Here you can find out how the different models in this range differ and, most importantly, what they have in common.
The Viessmann Vitocrossal product group is characterised by exceptional efficiency and minimal pollutant emissions thanks to the use of the latest condensing technology. As a result, less heat energy is lost in the form of water vapour in the flue gases. The originality of the condensing technology lies in the fact that the hot flue gases generated during combustion are sent through a second heat exchanger. The steam is condensed in this heat exchanger. In this process, energy is released, which is then additionally fed into the heating system. For this reason, such models often belong to energy efficiency class A. A in combination with solar collectors, they can even be assigned an efficiency class A+.
Condensing technology is most advantageous where the temperature in the heating system is low. This makes gas condensing boilers particularly suitable for new construction. But they should also be installed as part of a large-scale modernization project. By using this advanced heating technology to harness latent heat in flue gases, heating costs can be reduced by up to 30 percent

As can be seen from the table, Viessmann floor-standing condensing boilers are suitable for a wide range of applications, ranging from detached or semi-detached houses to apartment buildings, small commercial facilities and even, as in the case of the Vitocrossal 300 type CR3B, large public buildings and local heating networks.
As we have already seen, the products of the Vitocrossal series provide condensing technology in a wide power spectrum. All models achieve a standard seasonal efficiency [DIN] of up to 98 percent. This is made possible by the use of high-quality components such as the Inox-Crossal stainless steel heat exchanger. It is located vertically. This allows it to harness the condensation energy in hot gases with exceptional intensity. In addition, the smooth stainless steel surface ensures a permanent self-cleaning effect. This, in turn, ensures efficiency, as well as prolongs service life and reduces maintenance requirements as wear and tear caused by contamination is reduced.
Another equally important component of Vitocrossal condensing boilers is the MatriX burner. They operate in modulation mode, in which the boiler automatically adapts to the required heating power. This happens smoothly, without the need to constantly turn the burner on and off. This means that fewer cycles are required. This reduces wear and tear and, ultimately, maintenance and repair costs. MatriX burners are inherently economical, quiet and environmentally friendly. The Vitocrossal 300 type CRU deserves special attention. In this product, we have installed the MatriX-Disk disc burner, which is extremely quiet, despite the fact that its power reaches 1000 kW. In addition, the burner is modulated in a 1:6 range, which means that the power can be adjusted to below 20 percent.
Good handling is also ensured by a large volume of water and wide thermal galleries. They also guarantee reliable heat transfer.
