Overview

Viessmann Vitotrol app

The Viessmann Vitotrol app allows you to control Viessmann heating systems equipped with Vitotronic control units. Operation from anywhere and at any time is simple, intuitive and convenient. Along with control functions, the Vitotrol app contains general and context-sensitive assistance functions. The Vitotrol app is available for mobile devices with iOS or Android operating systems.

Wall-mounted appliances / small boilers / medium boilers / heat pumps / wood-burning boilers with Vitotronic control unit (see "Requirements for use for control unit types") must be equipped with a Vitocom 100 LAN1 internet interface and connected to a household broadband router. No DSL router configuration is required.

Boiler messages are sent to iPhone/smartphone. In particular, the Vitotrol app allows you to control the distribution of heat to the heating circuits. The application is a convenient tool for users of commercial systems to control the heating system.

Usage Requirements

To use the Vitotrol app feature set, you need the Viessmann Vitocom 100 LAN1 internet interface. The Vitotrol app can be used if your heating system is equipped with one of the following Viessmann appliances or heat generators with a Vitotronic control unit:

  • Vitodens with Vitotronic 200 HO1 control unit*
  • Vitodens 200 with Vitotronic 200 HO1A control unit*
  • Vitodens 3xx with Vitotronic 200 RF HO1B** / HO1C control unit
  • Vitodens 200 with Vitotronic 200 HO1D control unit
  • Vitodens 200 with Vitotronic 200 HO2B control unit****
  • Vitodens 3xx with Vitotronic 200 HO2B control unit****
  • Vitoladens 3xx with Vitotronic 200 HO1B control unit**
  • Vitosorp 200 with Vitotronic 200 HO1D control unit
  • Vitocrossal 300 or Vitoladens 300-C with Vitotronic 200 KW6B / KW6A control unit*

Additional Usage Requirements

Communication
  • Registration on the Viessmann Vitodata server
  • Direct free Internet access with a fixed data transfer rate
  • Broadband router (LAN/Wi-Fi) with DHCP service enabled

IP connection information

  • By default, Vitocom 100 LAN1 is configured for dynamic IP addressing via DHCP.
  • Vitocom can also be switched to static IP addressing.
  • For local networks managed by an administrator, the Vitocom 100 LAN1 network configuration must be clarified with the local network administrator.

Registration information

  • User and system registration can be completed entirely through the registration process in the Vitotrol app.
  • When a user registers for the first time, the first system is automatically registered to their account
  • Users can add additional systems to their account by repeating the registration process.
  • Alternatively, registration can also be completed in Vitodata 100.

Vitotrol app software versions

Use the latest version of the Vitotrol app, currently version 4.6.3. Software versions 4.1.x and earlier are no longer supported and must be updated immediately:

The Vitotrol app supports the following mobile devices:

  • Devices with Apple iOS operating system version 9.0 or newer
  • Devices with Google Android operating system 4.0 or later
  • At the factory, Vitocom 100 LAN1 is configured for dynamic IP addressing via DHCP.
  • Vitocom can also be switched to static IP addressing.
  • For local networks with an administrator, the Vitocom 100 LAN1 network configuration must be clarified with the local network administrator.

  • To update the app, see the menu on your mobile device.
  • To install, go to the Apple Store (iPhone or iPad) or Google Play Store (Android devices) and search for "Vitotrol app". Then follow the recommended steps for installation. Launch the Vitotrol app. After that, you must log in again.

After installing or updating the Vitotrol app, you can use it as usual.

Contacting the Vitotrol App

Vitocom 100 LAN1 is an Internet communication interface for remote control and remote monitoring of heating systems with the heat generators listed above. Vitocom 100 LAN1 establishes a connection with the Vitodata server. The Vitotrol app can access the system data through the Vitodata server.

Standard Delivery

The standard package of the Vitocom 100 LAN1 includes the following:

  • Vitocom 100, type LAN1 communication device
  • Communication module for installation in the control unit
  • Connection cables for LAN and communication module

Please note:

Depending on the configuration of the heat generator, the Vitocom 100 LAN1 option with or without a communication module is required.

Scope of functions

The Vitotrol app provides access to the following features:

  • Easy operation of the work program, room temperature setting, DHW temperature setting and holiday program
  • Temporary programs for central heating, hot water heating and hot water circulation.
  • Operating parameters, including all important temperatures, are clearly displayed on the display.
  • As well as efficiency data, including solar energy yield and operating hours.
  • Built-in showcase function

The functions of the Vitotrol app are: Heating circuit, menu, time program and solar energy.

Delete User Account

In accordance with data protection regulations, you can delete your user account for Vitodata and the Vitotrol app using the following procedure. To do this, follow the link below and follow the on-screen instructions to delete system data and user data.

Important Information

Deleting the last user account will result in the permanent deletion of all system and user data. After this, you will no longer be able to recover them.
