Vitocell 100-L with a separate set of Vitotrans 222 heat exchangers
When combined with the optional Vitotrans 222 (80, 120, and 240 kW), the Vitocell 100-L creates a cylindrical heating system for domestic hot water. The heat exchanger kit consists of a plate heat exchanger, valves, pumps, and thermal insulation.
Vitocell 100-L in use
The system is ideal for the following applications and conditions:
- Short-term peak loads, i.e. high withdrawal rates and variable reheating times, such as heating hot water in swimming pools, sports centres, industrial plants and slaughterhouses.
- Large cylinder volumes with staggered heating and withdrawal times, such as when water is withdrawn during peak periods in schools, sports centres, hospitals, army barracks, municipal institutions, apartment buildings, etc.
- Heating circuits requiring low return temperatures or where return temperatures are limited, such as for district heating systems or condensing boilers. The widespread use of domestic hot water (DHW) systems results in low return temperatures on the heating water side; this offers advantages due to the high condensation rate of condensing technology.
- In limited space conditions, as the cylinder loading system can transmit high performance.
