The electrical components operate at very low power. A high-efficiency secondary circuit circulation pump is standard. When operating at partial load, the compressor precisely adjusts to actual heat demand using modulation. This maintains the temperature required for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water. When combined with a photovoltaic system, the self-generated energy can be used to operate a heat pump.

For heating hot water
The Vitocal 111-S split heat pump is a heat generator at an attractive price with the usual high quality of workmanship and efficiency of Viessmann.
The Vitocal 111-S split heat pump consists of two separate units. The outdoor unit extracts heat from the ambient air through the evaporator using refrigerant, which is then brought to the required heating temperature by the compressor.
Heat is transported through a pipe to the indoor unit and then transferred to the heating network via the condenser. The indoor unit is factory-equipped with hydraulic components, such as a 3-way diverter valve, a secondary pump, and a heat pump control unit.
As with other heating systems, the indoor unit, thanks to its compact size, can be installed in a basement or utility room. The unit is supplied from the factory with all necessary components. The Vitocal 111-S has a pre-assembled, integrated 220-liter hot water cylinder. The outdoor unit can be mounted on the building’s exterior wall or installed freestanding on the ground outside.
The Vitocal 111-S is available in two versions to suit different requirements: as a pure heat pump for central heating and hot water production, or with active cooling for a pleasant indoor temperature during the summer months.
The optional Vitoconnect internet interface connects the Vitocal 111-S air-source heat pump to the internet. The free ViCare app allows you to conveniently control many functions from your smartphone, such as temperature control or party mode.
