Viessmann is the official climate partner of FC Bayern Munich.
Sports sponsorship has a long tradition at Viessmann: it has been involved in winter sports for more than 25 years. Starting with luge - winter toboggan races on artificial tracks with steep banks and slopes - Viessmann has become an integral part of most Nordic winter sports, primarily ski jumping and biathlon. Since 2018, football has been added to the company's portfolio of sports sponsors.
The sponsorship of the record-breaking German champion FC Bayern Munich has become an important part of Viessmann's sports activities. The international partnership between two global players who are market leaders in their respective industries began in China, where in 2018 Viessmann became the official regional partner of FC Bayern Munich. A wide range of events were held in numerous local football schools and tournaments.
In response to the successful cooperation, Viessmann extended its commitment with FC Bayern to the Southeast Asian region in 2021 and became the official climate partner of FC Bayern in selected European countries (France, Spain, Poland, BeNelux and Russia) in the heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation sectors. Since the start of the 2022/23 season, Viessmann has expanded its partnership with FC Bayern to a global one.
Football is a global passion and the need for a global commitment to achieving climate goals is increasingly ingrained in people's heads. This is where two strong brands can contribute by leveraging their passion for sports and the best climate-friendly technologies. The goal of the partnership is to promote the sustainable use of resources for future generations in the region.
